Agartala, 14 August 2025 — During the ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ programme at Maharaja Bir Bikram College’s Rabindra Hall this evening, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha honoured meritorious and talented students for their extraordinary skills. Recalling the tragic events of 1947, he said, “Partition was a burning wound on the chest of our free nation. Millions were forced to become refugees in their own homeland, and the air of India was heavy with their anguish. The then rulers, in their ambition to become Prime Minister, divided the country on the two-nation theory. The younger generation must learn about this dark chapter.” He was accompanied by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, the Director of Elementary Education, and senior officials. The CM was also seen sharing light moments with students and taking selfies at the selfie point.
