Tripura Plans to Deploy Special Executives as Tourist Police: CM Manik Saha

  Foundation Stone Laid for ₹ 67 Crore Tourism Infrastructure Project in Amarpur Agartala, May 6: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday announced the state government's intent to deploy newly recruited Special Executives as tourist police, with the aim of strengthening safety, security, and visitor assistance at major tourism locations. The move, expected to enhance the tourist experience and promote the state's tourism sector, awaits the final publication of a list comprising 6,067 selected Special Executives. Dr. Saha made the announcement while laying the foundation stone of a ₹ 67 crore tourism infrastructure project, funded by the Asian Development Bank ( ADB), at Amarpur in the Gomati district. Tripura to Conduct Statewide Civil Defence Mock Drill on May 7

Objective: Enhancing Inter- agency Preparedness for Emergency Scenarios Agartala, May 6: In a significant move towards strengthening disaster management infrastructure and inter- agency coordination, the Government of Tripura will conduct a comprehensive Civil Defence Mock Drill across all districts on May 7 ( Wednesday), in accordance with directives issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. At a press conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey stated that the statewide mock exercise would be coordinated by District Disaster Management Authorities in partnership with District Civil Defence Corps.
