Agartala, May 8: The Indian Red Cross Society’s Tripura State Branch celebrated ‘World Red Cross Day 2025’ with a meaningful event and a blood donation camp at its headquarters in Agartala on Wednesday morning. The programme was inaugurated by Tripura Governor and President of the State Red Cross Branch, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu. Commemorating the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross Movement and the first Nobel Peace Prize recipient, the event drew enthusiastic participation from students, Red Cross volunteers, NCC cadets, medical personnel, and citizens. In his address, Governor Reddy reflected on the core principles of the Red Cross—humanity, impartiality, neutrality, voluntary service, unity, and universality. “The Red Cross embodies relief and hope.
