Successful Anti-Liquor Operation Conducted in Ichabazar, Dukli

  Agartala, 13 April 2025: In a continued effort to crack down on illegal liquor trade, the officers and staff of AD Nagar Police Station carried out a successful anti- liquor operation today in the Ichabazar area under Dukli sub- division. Acting on specific information, the police team launched the raid and seized a total of 70 bottles of foreign liquor of various brands and sizes. The operation targeted unauthorised sale and storage of liquor, which has been a concern in the region due to its links with other unlawful activities and public nuisance. During the raid, one individual identified as the illegal seller was apprehended on the spot. Following the arrest, a Preliminary Report ( PR) has been prepared and submitted against the accused for further legal proceedings.   Agartala, May 13, 2025: In a momentous event held at Rabindra Bhavan, the Tripura Government officially handed over appointment letters to 975 newly selected constables in the state police force. This marks a significant step towards reinforcing the law and order mechanism and fulfilling the vision of a drug-free Tripura. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, who graced the ceremony along with several cabinet ministers and dignitaries, congratulated the recruits and lauded Tripura Police for serving the state for over 150 years with pride and dedication. The appointment letters were distributed to 643 male and 332 female candidates in a grand public ceremony, highlighting the government's commitment to transparency and fairness in recruitment.
