Tripura MP Rajib Bhattacharjee Reviews Bru Resettlement Progress Under 2020 Accord

Agartala, May 21, 2025: Tripura Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee recently visited a Bru resettlement site to assess the implementation of the 2020 quadripartite agreement, which facilitated the permanent settlement of displaced Bru families. This historic accord, signed by the Central Government, Tripura Government, Mizoram Government, and Bru representatives, aimed to rehabilitate over 37,500 Bru individuals who had fled ethnic violence in Mizoram in 1997. During his visit, MP Bhattacharjee evaluated the progress of the ₹821 crore development package announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This comprehensive package includes provisions for permanent housing, electricity, clean drinking water, healthcare, educational infrastructure, and road connectivity for the resettled families. Tripura Government Provides 19,262 Jobs So Far, Says CM Dr. Manik Saha

  Agartala, May 21: In a significant announcement, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday declared that the BJP-led state government has successfully provided employment to 19,262 individuals across various departments, including appointments made under the die-in-harness scheme. The Chief Minister made this statement while addressing a job offer distribution ceremony and a mega blood donation camp held at Prajna Bhavan, Agartala. Dr. Saha stated that the government is proactively filling existing vacancies and creating new posts to boost employment in the state. He informed that under the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, recruitment is currently underway for 12 Sub-Inspectors, 3 Fumigation Assistants, 6 Store Keepers, and 35 Store Guards.
