New Delhi, July 18: The Indian Building Congress (IBC), one of the premier national bodies of engineers, today began its 109th Governing Council Meeting at Pragya Bhawan in New Delhi. Alongside, a key seminar titled "Infrastructure Development in North East Region of India" was inaugurated, drawing participation from top officials, engineers, and policymakers. Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha graced the inaugural session and addressed the assembly. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous initiatives in accelerating infrastructural progress in the Northeastern region. “Engineers are now giving special importance to modern, innovative project planning while overcoming the natural barriers of the region,” Dr. Saha stated. The three-day event will feature presentations on recent achievements, sustainable models, and future infrastructure strategies specific to Northeast India.
