Agartala, May 2: A massive fire broke out around 10 AM on Thursday at the Hapania market, reducing six shops to ashes. The affected establishments include four fast food stalls, a sweet shop, and a fruit stall. The incident sparked panic among locals and traders. Upon receiving the information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames after intense efforts. Although no casualties were reported, the shops suffered extensive damage. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire might have originated from an electrical short circuit.
