Lauds Red Cross Volunteers for Lifelong Commitment to Humanity Agartala, May 8 : Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha virtually inaugurated the district- level blood donation camp on the second day of the two- day- long programme organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Tripura State Branch, to mark World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2025 . In his address, the Chief Minister praised the Indian Red Cross Society’s tireless service over the years through its humanitarian and social welfare initiatives. “ The Indian Red Cross Society has long been devoted to the cause of serving humanity— be it through disaster management, blood donation, anti- drug awareness, or extending relief to the distressed,” he said. The event commemorates the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross Movement and the first Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
