Successful Anti-Liquor Operation Conducted in Ichabazar, Dukli

 





Agartala, 13 April 2025:
In a continued effort to crack down on illegal liquor trade, the officers and staff of AD Nagar Police Station carried out a successful anti-liquor operation today in the Ichabazar area under Dukli sub-division.

Acting on specific information, the police team launched the raid and seized a total of 70 bottles of foreign liquor of various brands and sizes. The operation targeted unauthorised sale and storage of liquor, which has been a concern in the region due to its links with other unlawful activities and public nuisance.

During the raid, one individual identified as the illegal seller was apprehended on the spot. Following the arrest, a Preliminary Report (PR) has been prepared and submitted against the accused for further legal proceedings.

Police sources confirmed that this operation is part of their ongoing campaign against unlicensed liquor vendors and bootleggers across West Tripura. AD Nagar PS officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining law and order and protecting the community from the harmful effects of illegal alcohol distribution.

Local residents expressed satisfaction over the swift police action and urged the authorities to continue such vigilant operations in other parts of Dukli and surrounding areas.

The Tripura Police have assured that they will remain

proactive and act promptly on all credible inputs to curb such illegal activities and safeguard public health and safety.
