In a significant operation conducted on Wednesday night, Tripura Police made a noteworthy breakthrough by intercepting a suspicious vehicle in the Sidhai area under the West District of Tripura. Acting on a valuable tip-off received by the Sidhai police station, law enforcement personnel moved swiftly to apprehend the situation.

The subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a startling discovery: a cache of illegal items was uncovered. Among the seized contraband were a pistol, nine rounds of live ammunition, and approximately 4 kilograms of cannabis, commonly known as ganja. The suspect, identified as Ranjan Debbarma, a resident of the Abhicharan area under Lefunga police station in the Sidhai area, was promptly taken into custody.

This operation marks a significant victory for Tripura Police in their ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and maintain law and order in the region. The arrest of Ranjan Debbarma and the seizure of these dangerous items underscore the importance of community involvement and timely information sharing in ensuring the safety and security of the area's residents.
