Christmas Spectacle Draws Massive Crowds at Mariamnagar Church





The historic Mariamnagar Church in Agartala became the epicenter of Christmas celebrations today, drawing over 100,000 visitors to witness its spectacular festivities. The church grounds and surrounding streets were transformed into a dazzling display of lights and decorations, creating a magical atmosphere for celebration.


The centerpiece of the celebration featured an elaborate nativity scene, with baby Jesus in the manger drawing crowds of devotees. A mesmerizing fire show added to the evening's entertainment, captivating visitors of all ages. The church's famous statue of Mother Mary continued to attract countless faithful, who lit candles seeking blessings and healing – a tradition deeply rooted in local belief.


A vibrant three-day fair has been set up along the adjacent roads, featuring a diverse array of vendors. Visitors explored stalls offering traditional foods, toys, furniture, and various local products, creating a festive marketplace atmosphere. The fair has become an integral part of the annual Christmas celebration, providing both commercial and cultural significance to the event.


Local administration has implemented comprehensive security measures, with police personnel actively monitoring the crowds and maintaining order. The well-coordinated security arrangement ensures safe celebration for families and visitors.


The church itself stands as a testament to architectural beauty, adorned with traditional Christmas decorations that enhance its historical charm.
