EBSB-I Camp: A Cultural Extravaganza at Agartala Town Hall


The NCC NER Directorate organized a vibrant cultural programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB-I) Camp at Agartala Town Hall, marking a significant celebration of India's cultural diversity. The event brought together NCC cadets from various parts of the country, showcasing their talents and fostering national integration.

Sports Minister Shri Tinku Roy received a ceremonial welcome, complete with a gun salute by NSS Scouts and cadets. The traditional lamp lighting ceremony initiated the programme, symbolizing knowledge and unity. The cultural performances featured a rich blend of regional artforms, including Bengali folk songs and the indigenous Tripuri Mamita dance. Cadets also demonstrated their physical prowess through acrobatics and yoga performances.


In his address, Minister Roy emphasized the importance of strength, discipline, and patriotism. He cited World Cup Shooting Gold Medalists Shri Parth Mane and Ms. Isha Taksale as inspirational examples for the youth. His message focused on the cadets' role as future defenders of the nation.


The event's highlight was the cultural exhibition in the Town Hall's outer yard, where stalls showcased Tripura's heritage and landmarks. Minister Roy visited these displays, engaging with cadets and commending their efforts in promoting cultural understanding. The exhibitions provided participants with insights into Tripura's rich traditions and historical significance.


This inaugural hosting of the EBSB-I Camp in Tripura achieved multiple objectives. It strengthened bonds between cadets from different regions, highlighted India's cultural diversity, and demonstrated the state's organizational capabilities. The programme successfully combined ceremonial dignity with cultural celebration, creating a memorable experience for all participants.



The event exemplified the core values of the NCC - unity, discipline, and national service. Through various performances and interactions, it reinforced the importance of cultural exchange in building a stronger, more integrated nation.
