National School Games Under 17 Girls' Judo Competition Kicks Off in Agartala










Agartala, Tripura - The 68th National School Games Judo Competition for under-17 girls commenced with great fanfare at the NSRCC Hall, marking a significant milestone in the state's sporting landscape. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha officially inaugurated the prestigious event, signaling Tripura's commitment to nurturing young athletic talent.


The opening ceremony was a vibrant celebration of sports and culture, with Sports Minister Tinku Roy and various state officials in attendance. Dr. Saha formally initiated the competition by hoisting the event flag and lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the tournament's commencement.


The event's cultural segment was particularly noteworthy, featuring a spirited performance by the female band from St. Xavier's School Bisramganj and captivating traditional songs and dances by indigenous Tripuri artists. These cultural elements added a distinctive local flavor to the sporting spectacle.



In a moment of recognition, the Chief Minister honored several national-level winners, highlighting the state's growing sporting achievements. The Sports Department, represented by Joint Director Paimung Mog and the General Secretary of the Tripura Sports School Board, reciprocated by felicitating Dr. Saha for his significant contributions to sports development in the state.


Teams from across the country have converged in Agartala, bringing together young judokas under the age of 17 to compete in this national-level tournament. The competition not only showcases the athletic prowess of young girls but also underscores Tripura's potential as a emerging hub for sports talent.


Participants and officials alike have praised the event's impeccable organization, viewing it as a testament to Tripura's growing capabilities in hosting national sporting events. The tournament promises to be a platform for discovering and nurturing future sporting champions.
