Tripura State Bharat Scouts & Guides Organizes 3-Day State-Level World Thinking Day Celebration



Agartala, February 22, 2025: The Tripura State Bharat Scouts & Guides inaugurated a three-day State-Level World Thinking Day celebration today at the Raima Swimming Pool premises, DDSSC, Badharghat, Agartala. The event, held from February 21 to 23, 2025, was graced by Shri Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Tripura, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included Smt. Manika Das Datta, Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Shri P.K. Chakravarty, IAS, Secretary of Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Prabir Majumdar, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, and Shri S.B. Nath, Director of Youth Affairs & Sports.

The inaugural ceremony featured a blood donation camp, an all-faith prayer session, a felicitation ceremony, and a vibrant cultural program. A total of 180 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers from various districts of Tripura participated in the event, showcasing unity, discipline, and the spirit of service.

World Thinking Day, celebrated globally by Scouts and Guides, aims to promote friendship, peace, and understanding among young people. The event in Tripura emphasized the importance of community service, leadership, and cultural exchange. The blood donation camp highlighted the Scouts & Guides' commitment to social welfare, while the all-faith prayer session symbolized harmony and inclusivity.

Shri Tinku Roy, in his address, praised the Scouts & Guides for their dedication to nation-building and encouraged them to continue contributing to society. The cultural program showcased the rich traditions of Tripura, with participants performing dances, songs, and skits.

The three-day event will include various activities such as workshops, team-building exercises, and community service projects, fostering leadership skills and camaraderie among the participants. The celebration underscores the Scouts & Guides' role in shaping responsible and socially conscious citizens.
