Ram Thakur Sangha Marks 59th Foundation Day with Blood Donation Camp

 





In a significant display of social responsibility, Ram Thakur Sangha, one of Agartala's most prestigious and oldest clubs, commemorated its 59th foundation day on February 16, 2025, by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp. The event was graced by prominent dignitaries including MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder, and MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, demonstrating strong institutional support for community service initiatives.

MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, who inaugurated the blood donation camp, praised the evolution of club culture in the city. In his media interaction, he highlighted how clubs have transformed from being centers of power display to becoming catalysts for social change. He particularly commended Ram Thakur Sangha's comprehensive approach to their foundation day celebrations, which included not only the blood donation camp but also a sit-and-draw competition, showcasing the club's commitment to both social service and cultural activities.

The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from donors, reflecting the community's growing awareness about the importance of blood donation. MP Bhattacharjee's personal interaction with the blood donors during his visit to the camp added a meaningful dimension to the event, encouraging more people to participate in such life-saving initiatives.
