Tripura Prepares for 53rd Senior Men's National Handball Championship

 


The 53rd Handball Federation of India Senior Men's National Handball Championship is set to take place in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from February 22 to 26, 2025. In preparation for this prestigious event, the Tripura Handball Association has organised a selection trial camp for the Senior Men's team at the Umakanta Academy Handball Ground. This camp aims to identify and nurture the best talent from across the state to form a competitive team for the national championship. Over 50 talented handball players from various parts of Tripura have participated in the trials, showcasing their skills and determination to secure a spot in the final squad. From this pool of participants, a 16-member team will be selected to represent Tripura at the national level.



The selection trial camp has been a platform for players to demonstrate their athleticism, teamwork, and strategic understanding of the game. Coaches and selectors have been closely monitoring the performances, focusing on key aspects such as physical fitness, technical skills, and game sense. The Tripura Handball Association has emphasised the importance of this opportunity, urging players to give their best and make the state proud. The selected team will undergo rigorous training and preparation in the coming months to ensure they are in peak condition for the national championship.
