Chief Minister Inspects Progress of New Government High-Rise in Agartala

Agartala, 31 March 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today visited the construction site of the upcoming multi-storied government office complex at Gurkhabasti to review its progress. The state-of-the-art building, being developed with earthquake-resistant technology, will house several key government departments under one roof to improve administrative efficiency.

During the inspection, Dr. Saha directed officials and contractors to adhere strictly to the project timeline while maintaining quality standards. He emphasized that the centralized facility would simplify public access to government services, eliminating the need for citizens to visit multiple offices across the city.

"Our focus is on creating robust infrastructure that enhances governance and ensures seamless service delivery," the Chief Minister stated in a social media post after the visit. He described the project as a significant step toward modernizing Tripura's administrative framework.

Officials confirmed that construction is proceeding as scheduled, with careful attention given to both structural safety and functional design. The high-rise is part of the state government's broader plan to upgrade administrative infrastructure, with similar projects planned for other districts.

Once operational, the building is expected to significantly reduce processing times for public services while providing a more convenient and organized workspace for government employees. The project reflects the administration's commitment to developing smart, citizen-friendly governance solutions across Tripura.
