Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, attended the inauguration of the symposium titled “Northeast India 2030 & Beyond”, organised by Assam Rifles at Hotel Polo Towers today. The event focused on future development opportunities, security, and regional cooperation in the Northeast. Governor Reddy highlighted the importance of strategic planning and collective efforts for sustainable progress in the region. Senior officials, defence personnel, academicians, and policy experts participated in the discussions. The symposium aims to foster dialogue and actionable ideas for the long-term growth and integration of the Northeast with national goals.
In a meaningful cultural exchange at yesterday's Book Fair, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha received a copy of the Bhagavad Gita from a Russian ISKCON Follower Namely SAHADEV DAS alias Stanislav Zhuk ( Russian Name ), underscoring the growing global embrace of Indian spiritual wisdom. The ceremonial presentation highlighted the enduring appeal of ancient Indian texts across geographical and cultural boundaries. The Russian Prabhu Sri SAHADEV DAS emphasized the universal relevance of Lord Krishna's teachings in the Gita, particularly its guidance on righteousness (dharma) and self-realization. ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) has played a pivotal role in disseminating Vedic knowledge globally since its founding by Srila Prabhupada in 1966.
