Homeopathy Gaining Popularity: Tripura Observes World Homeopathy Day with a Focus on Innovation and Outreach



Agartala, April 10: In recognition of the growing demand for alternative medicine, particularly homeopathy, the Tripura government today celebrated World Homeopathy Day with a special event at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala. Organised jointly by the Tripura AYUSH Mission and the State Health and Family Welfare Department, the programme was held under the theme “Study, Teaching and Research.”

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, who extended his greetings to all associated with homeopathy and acknowledged the valuable contributions of homeopathic practitioners in providing quality healthcare to the people of the state.

In his message, the Chief Minister noted that due to improved diagnostic infrastructure and enhanced awareness, homeopathy is witnessing increasing acceptance among citizens. "With the rise in modern diagnostic facilities and effective promotion, people are increasingly turning to homeopathy as a trusted mode of treatment," he said.

Dr. Saha praised the homeopathic doctors of the state for their sincere efforts in delivering quality healthcare under the government's initiative. As part of the celebrations, several eminent homeopathic practitioners were felicitated for their dedicated service in the field.

The programme highlighted the importance of continuous learning and research in homeopathy to further improve treatment methodologies and integrate scientific advancements with traditional knowledge systems.

The state government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting AYUSH systems, including homeopathy, to ensure holistic and accessible healthcare for all sections of society.

World Homeopathy Day is observed globally on April 10 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy.
