Free Eye Camp Organised at Ward No. 20 in Agartala




Agartala, May 10 — A free eye check-up camp was jointly organised by Shantipara Senior Citizens’ Association and Ashwini Netralaya at Vivekananda Abas in Ward No. 20 under 8-Town Bordowali Mandal. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha graced the event and appreciated the organisers for their noble initiative.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha emphasised the importance of regular eye examinations and encouraged citizens to take proactive steps for eye health. He noted that such camps serve the community immensely and stated that the government is committed to strengthening public healthcare. He also assured that more such camps will be organised in the future.

The event witnessed a large turnout, where citizens benefited from free eye screening and medicine distribution. Local Ward Corporator Ratna Debi was also present and extended support to the initiative.

Chief Minister Saha highlighted that public health and welfare remain top priorities for the government and appreciated the collaborative spirit shown by the organisers.

The event successfully brought awareness about eye care among the public and reinforced the government’s commitment to accessible health services.
