Tripura Takes a Giant Leap in Administrative Excellence; CM Dr. Manik Saha Launches Modern Institute for Civil Service Officers
Agartala, May 18, 2025:
Taking a forward-looking step to reinforce administrative excellence in Tripura, the state government has embarked on building a Civil Services Officers’ Institute with a projected investment of ₹31.15 crore. The foundation stone for the facility was laid today by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in a formal ceremony attended by senior officials and officers from multiple departments.
The institute is envisioned as a training and knowledge centre that will offer structured learning opportunities, research, and inter-departmental collaboration for civil servants. It will include modern amenities like high-tech classrooms, a digital library, residential blocks, and auditoriums to enable advanced administrative learning and leadership development.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Saha stated, “Civil service officers are the backbone of policy implementation. Their continuous learning and training are key to a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric government.” He also highlighted that this institute would be a milestone in transforming the administrative landscape of Tripura.
In addition to the foundation-laying ceremony, a blood donation camp was organised at the venue. Dr. Saha personally interacted with the volunteers and appreciated their humanitarian spirit. “Blood donation saves lives. I urge our citizens, especially the youth, to come forward in such noble causes,” he said.
The day reflected a dual celebration—one that marked the beginning of a visionary institution to shape future governance, and another that honoured selfless social service through voluntary blood donation. Together, they reflect the state’s commitment to holistic progress.
