Governor Indra Sena Nallu Reddy and CM Prof Dr. Manik Saha Attends Advanced Drone Warfare Drill in Agartala
Agartala, Aug 23: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Nallu Reddy and CM Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today attended a joint military drill conducted by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles at the Assam Rifles ground, where modern drone warfare techniques and para commando operations were demonstrated.
The exercise highlighted India’s rapid progress in defence technology, particularly the integration of drones into combat operations. A range of specialised unmanned aerial vehicles was showcased, including rifle-mounted drones, kamikaze grenade-launching drones, explosive-carrying drones, and compact spy hornet drones designed for surveillance and intelligence gathering.
During the drill, the drone squad displayed remarkable manoeuvring skills, crossing obstacles and targeting mock enemy positions with precision. Alongside, para commandos executed coordinated tactical operations, demonstrating their speed, combat readiness, and ability to integrate with aerial support systems.
Governor Reddy, and the CM Saha observing the exercise, praised the troops for their courage and professionalism. They both remarked that such drills not only enhance the preparedness of the armed forces but also reflect India’s growing self-reliance in modern warfare under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The CM added that the successful use of drone technology in simulated war conditions will prove vital in addressing terrorism and securing the nation’s borders. The event served as a significant morale booster for the troops, showcasing their readiness to face emerging challenges with state-of-the-art equipment and training.
