The youth are considered the true driving force of the nation, and their contribution plays a pivotal role in shaping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. With this spirit, the five-day North-East NSS Festival 2025 commenced today at Nazrul Kala Khetra, Purbasha, Agartala.
The inaugural session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of volunteers who travelled from across seven states of the North-East to take part in this grand gathering. The National Service Scheme (NSS), which has lakhs of volunteers nationwide, continues to work tirelessly towards the vision of “Shaktishali Yuvashakti – Vikshit Bharat.”
This year’s festival has been organised to provide a platform for youth from the region to showcase their talents, strengthen bonds of unity, and exchange cultural values. Over the next five days, participants will engage in cultural programmes, discussions, seminars, and community outreach initiatives. Traditional dances, songs, and folk performances representing the diverse cultures of the North-East will be staged, offering a rare opportunity for cultural exchange.
Officials emphasised that such programmes not only nurture leadership and service qualities among the youth but also create a vibrant space for dialogue and collaboration. The event is expected to foster stronger connections among the youth of the North-East, furthering the national goal of inclusive development.
