Tripura’s Tanmoy Das to Officiate at Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Thailand

In a proud moment for Tripura, international judge Tanmoy Das has been invited to officiate at the 57th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 18th to 25th August.

Das, a former bodybuilder, coach, and President of the Tripura Body Builders and Fitness Association, is one of only two international judges selected from India. The other invitee is Sumitra Tripathy, President of the Odisha state body. Notably, Das is currently the only Bengali international judge in the global bodybuilding and physique sports arena.

Speaking over the phone, Tanmoy Das said, “It is a proud moment for me and my state. Representing Tripura and Bengali heritage on an international stage as a judge is a great honour. I hope the Indian team achieves success in this championship.”

The Indian contingent will be led by coach Araso Mounaguru and manager Leslie John Peter.
