Health Secretary to Attend Drug Sampling & Investigation Training in Agartala

 


Agartala: The Hon’ble Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, will be the Chief Guest at a one-day training programme on “Sampling of Drugs, Investigation Technique & Launching of Prosecution” at Pragna Bhavan, Hall No. II, Gorkhabasti, Agartala.

The training programme aims to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of officials involved in drug regulation, quality control, and law enforcement. Experts will provide insights into drug sampling methods, investigation techniques, and legal aspects of prosecuting offenders in cases of drug adulteration and substandard medicines.

With an increasing need to ensure the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products, this initiative seeks to strengthen Tripura’s drug control mechanism. The programme will also focus on best practices in handling evidence, case documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Officials from the Drug Control Administration, law enforcement agencies, and healthcare professionals are expected to attend. The presence of the Health Secretary underscores the government’s commitment to upholding public health and ensuring strict enforcement of drug regulations in the state.

The training is expected to bring significant improvements in drug monitoring and prosecution procedures, thereby safeguarding citizens from the risks associated with spurious and substandard medicines.
