Construction of 400-Seat Community Hall in Vaishnavtila, Pond Renovation Also Planned


Agartala: A 400-seat community hall is being constructed in Vaishnavtila, under Ward No. 49 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation. The construction of the hall, being built at a cost of ₹1.23 crore, is progressing rapidly. On Thursday, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar inspected the construction site. He was accompanied by local MLA Minarani Sarkar, Deputy Mayor Monica Das Dutta, Ward No. 49 Corporator Harisadhan Debnath, Corporator Bapi Das, and others.  


Mayor Deepak Majumdar stated that the construction of the community hall will be completed within the next three months. Once this state-of-the-art community hall is ready, it will fulfil a long-standing demand of the local residents. He further added that the hall will become a significant venue for social and cultural activities in the area.  


Meanwhile, local residents have also raised demands for the renovation of a pond located in Ray Colony, Vaishnavtila. Mayor Deepak Majumdar announced plans to renovate the pond and create facilities for idol immersion during festivals. He mentioned that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the pond's renovation has already been prepared, and the work will commence shortly. Once implemented, this project will bring significant improvements to the area's environment and infrastructure.  


Local residents are delighted with the initiatives to construct the community hall and renovate the pond. They expressed hope that these developmental projects will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life in the area.
