Chief Minister Emphasizes Importance of 
Focus on State Initiatives in Education Sector and Future Generations

Agartala, 11 March, 2025: Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha attended as the chief guest at the fourth foundation day celebration of Lipika Dasgupta Memorial School (English Medium) in East Gokulnagar, Bishalgad subdivision. During the event, he placed special emphasis on the transformative power of education.


In his address, the Chief Minister mentioned that students who receive proper education would emerge as the driving force of the nation in the future. He urged students to understand the importance of studying and expressed optimism about their bright futures.

Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha highlighted the significant recent changes in Tripura's education sector under the Prime Minister's National Education Policy. He praised various state government initiatives including the Super 30 Project, Chief Minister's Merit Award, Talent Search Program, vocational education, establishment of smart classrooms, founding of English medium schools, and the inclusion of the Kokborok language in the curriculum.



The Chief Minister specifically emphasized the decision to include the Kokborok language in the curriculum, which he believes will enhance harmony among different communities.

Forest, Science and Technology Minister Animesh Debbarma was also present at the event. He commended the decision to include the Kokborok language in the curriculum and noted that this step would strengthen relationships among students. He wished for the school's continued success and progress.



Dr. Gaurav Dasgupta, the school's trustee, delivered the welcome address at the event, and Dr. Olivia Dasgupta extended a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the ceremony. Other distinguished guests present included Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Chairperson Supriya Das (Datta), MLA Antra Sarkar Deb, MLA Sushanta Deb, and the school's Managing Director Dr. Alekhya Dasgupta.

Lipika Dasgupta Memorial School is considered an important addition to the local education system, and all those present at today's event expressed expectations for the school's bright future.
