Massive Tricolour Rally in Agartala Honours Operation Sindoor and Pays Tribute to Indian Soldiers

Agartala, 14 April 2025:

In a powerful display of unity, patriotism, and unwavering support for the Indian armed forces, thousands of citizens from across Tripura came together today in Agartala to participate in a massive Tiranga Rally. Organised to honour the heroic Indian Army’s response under ‘Operation Sindoor’ following the cowardly and barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam—allegedly backed by Pakistan—the rally saw enthusiastic participation from all walks of life.

The event began at Rabindra Bhavan and concluded at Paradise Chowmuhani after making a symbolic round across the heart of the city. Participants walked with fervour, holding the national flag high, raising spirited slogans in support of India’s brave soldiers and the country’s firm leadership. Flags, festoons, and posters praising the courage of the Indian Army and the resolute leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi added vibrance and meaning to the march.

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha led the rally and expressed his deep respect and gratitude to the brave martyrs of India. “I bow in honour to our valiant soldiers and their supreme sacrifice for the dignity of Bharat Mata. Under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has shown the world that it will not tolerate cowardly acts of terror,” he stated.

The rally was graced by the presence of several ministers, including Sri Tinku Roy, Sri Sushanta Chowdhury, and many MLAs, corporators, sportspersons, artists, scholars, and prominent businessmen of the state. The sight of youth, senior citizens, women, students, and professionals marching together painted a powerful image of solidarity and national pride.

The rally also served as a mark of public gratitude to the Indian military for executing Operation Sindoor with precision and honour, delivering a firm and fitting response to the heinous incident in Jammu & Kashmir. Participants carried banners thanking the Indian defence forces and central leadership for protecting national integrity and sending a clear message to enemies of peace.

Citizens lauded the government for providing such a platform where voices in support of the armed forces and against terrorism could be unitedly expressed. The rally was peaceful and well-coordinated with support from city police and civic volunteers ensuring public convenience and safety throughout the event.

From cultural icons to everyday citizens, the event demonstrated that the spirit of patriotism remains strong in Tripura. Many attendees expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire younger generations to value national service, discipline, and sacrifice.

The rally concluded with a standing tribute at Paradise Chowmuhani, where participants observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the martyred soldiers and chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in unison, creating a truly emotional and impactful closure to the day’s patriotic observance.
