Agartala, April 20: In a heartening celebration of culture and tradition, the Senpara Sanskritik Haat observed its 72nd week with great enthusiasm, coinciding with the Bengali New Year 1432. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha graced the occasion, appreciating the consistent efforts made to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Bengal.
Organised by Bangla Sanskriti Baloy, the weekly cultural market has become a focal point of Tripura’s community-driven cultural movement. Every Sunday, it brings together poets, artists, musicians, and cultural lovers in an open and inclusive space.
In his address, CM Dr. Manik Saha noted that such initiatives build a healthy, progressive society. “Senpara’s cultural haat is a wonderful example of how art, literature, and music can come together to inspire society. I’m truly glad to be part of this celebration and extend my heartfelt greetings for the Bengali New Year to everyone,” he said.
The programme featured traditional songs, poetry recitations, folk performances, and children’s participation. The area turned vibrant with colours of Bengali heritage.
Eminent journalist and editor of News Vanguard, Sebak Bhattacharjee, was prominently present and acknowledged as the main organiser behind this ongoing cultural renaissance. His continuous support and vision have helped turn the weekly event into a thriving symbol of cultural unity.
Artists and local residents alike praised the sustained commitment of organisers in creating a platform for artistic expression and cultural bonding. With participation growing every week, the initiative has now become a significant part of Agartala’s social and cultural landscape.
The event ended with wishes of peace, creativity, and progress for the new year.
