Agartala, May 2: In response to the recent terror attack in the Pehelgaun area of Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 28 people and injured several others, the Bordowli Mandal, along with its dedicated party workers, took part in a peaceful rally today. The rally was led by Mandal President Shyamal Deb, Leader Kamal Deb, Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder.
The procession started in the town with participants holding up flex banners to raise awareness about the grave situation in Kashmir, which has once again raised concerns about India’s internal security. The incident, which mirrors the 2019 Pulwama attack that resulted in the death of 40 CRPF personnel, has drawn widespread international attention and condemnation.
The rally ended with a candlelight vigil, symbolising solidarity with the victims and a peaceful call for justice. Speaking to reporters, MLA Dipak Majumder stressed the importance of ensuring security for all citizens, asserting that such attacks challenge India’s sovereignty and security on an international level.
The rally underscored the unwavering support from the people of Tripura towards the nation’s fight against terrorism, reinforcing the need for stronger measures to protect citizens across the country.
