Financial Support Empowers West Tripura Fishermen







The Tripura government demonstrated its commitment to supporting the fisheries sector through a significant financial aid distribution event at Sukanta Academy on Thursday. The programme highlighted the state's comprehensive approach to supporting local fishermen through targeted development schemes.


Key Highlights of the Financial Aid Distribution:

- Total beneficiaries: 268 fishermen

- Total financial disbursement: ₹3,81,064

- Schemes involved: Chief Minister's Matsya Bikash Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (2024-25)

- Additional support provided for flood-affected communities
