80th Janashiksha Foundation Day Marks Educational Legacy in Agartala


A significant milestone in Agartala's educational history was commemorated as the GMP, TYF, and TSU Krishna Nagar Local Committee jointly celebrated the 80th Janashiksha Foundation Day. The celebrations, held at Colonel Chowmuhani, brought together prominent political and social leaders to reflect on the enduring impact of the Janashiksha movement.


The event saw distinguished participation from key figures including GMP Central Committee member and former minister Naresh Chandra Jamatia, who graced the occasion alongside respected CPM leader Amal Chakraborty. Their presence underscored the continuing relevance and cross-party recognition of Janashiksha's contributions to society.


During the commemorative program, speakers emphasized the foundational role of Janashiksha in shaping educational discourse and cultural awareness in the region. The movement, which began eight decades ago, was highlighted for its pioneering efforts in democratizing education and making it accessible to the broader population.


The speakers particularly focused on how the Janashiksha movement has evolved over the years while maintaining its core principle of educational empowerment.
