Kawamara High School Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Scouts & Guides Units with Enthusiasm

 


Amarpur, 27 April 2025:

Kawamara High School in Amarpur, Gumati District, Tripura, marked the 20th anniversary of its Scouts & Guides units with a series of vibrant events and activities from 25th to 27th April 2025. The three-day celebration aimed at promoting the core values of scouting — community service, leadership, and social responsibility.

Throughout the event, students actively participated in various programmes, including community service initiatives and awareness campaigns on important social issues. These activities not only reflected the true spirit of the Scouts & Guides movement but also highlighted the commitment of young members towards building a better society.

The festivities culminated in a grand closing ceremony held on 27th April. The colourful programme was graced by the presence of Shri Ranjit Das, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Bikash Das, Chairman of Amarpur Nagar Panchayat (ANP), Smt. Debanjali Roy, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, and Shri Ramendra Reang, State Secretary of Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides (TSBSG), among other distinguished guests.

The dignitaries applauded the efforts of the school and the Scouts & Guides units for their active role in community development and fostering leadership among the youth. They also encouraged the students to continue embracing the values of discipline, service, and unity.

The closing ceremony was further enlivened by a spirited Camp Fire event, where students showcased their talents through folk dances and folk songs, representing the rich cultural heritage of the region. The evening created a memorable experience for all participants and guests alike, leaving an inspiring message of unity, service, and cultural pride.

The celebration at Kawamara High School stood as a testament to two decades of dedication, teamwork, and the undying spirit of the Scouts & Guides.
