Kailashahar’s Suryamani Memorial School Sets New Record with 100% Pass Rate in Board Exams

Unakoti, May 16:
This year’s Madhyamik and Higher Secondary results brought immense pride and joy to Srirampur Suryamani Memorial School under Chandipur Assembly Constituency in Kailashahar. The school has created history by achieving a 100% pass rate in both the Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations.

To celebrate this academic milestone, a felicitation ceremony was organised at the school on Friday. Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Tinku Roy, graced the event as the chief guest and felicitated the successful students. In his speech, the Minister praised the hard work of the students, dedication of teachers, and the commitment of the school authorities for this record-breaking performance.

Minister Roy extended heartfelt congratulations to the students and appreciated the efforts of the entire school community. “This result is a reflection of not just academic excellence but the school’s holistic growth,” he said.

In another notable initiative on the same day, a voluntary blood donation camp was held at Unakoti Kala Kshetra, Kailashahar, under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department as a part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat anaemia. The camp was attended by 24 donors, including one woman. The event was held in line with the state government’s directive to support public health initiatives.

The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Minister Tinku Roy, Unakoti District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma, Chairperson Chapala Rani Deb Roy, and several officials. Minister Roy praised the enthusiasm of the donors and called for more youth participation in such humanitarian efforts.

During the event, the Minister also launched a documentary film under the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign aimed at raising awareness against child marriage and teenage pregnancy. Emphasising the importance of gender equity and child protection, the Minister informed that around 77,000 differently-abled children in the state have UID cards, describing it as a significant challenge that the government is determined to address.

Through both the academic celebration and the social initiatives of the day, Kailashahar showcased a fine blend of educational excellence and civic responsibility.
