Dr. L. Murugan, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, at his official residence earlier today. The meeting was described as “productive and progressive” by the Chief Minister, as the two leaders held detailed discussions on various ongoing initiatives undertaken by the Government of Tripura.
The deliberation focused on strengthening collaboration between the Centre and the State in areas related to public communication, broadcasting, governance, and parliamentary outreach. Dr. Murugan expressed keen interest in Tripura's developmental programmes, particularly in the context of effective information dissemination and digital outreach.
According to the Chief Minister's diary entry, the exchange with Dr. Murugan highlighted the state’s growing initiatives in information and broadcasting, and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work together to further enhance communication frameworks that benefit the people.
In continuation of his official visit, Dr. L. Murugan is scheduled to interact with the media today at 1:45 PM at the Conference Hall of Sonartari State Guest House, Agartala. He is expected to brief the press on key matters related to central schemes, media initiatives, and coordination between the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Government of Tripura.
This visit marks yet another step in the Centre-State collaboration aimed at empowering regional voices and ensuring transparent governance through effective communication.
