Dated: 16 May 2025

Exciting developments are on the horizon for the tourism sector in Tripura, as plans are underway to set up two state-of-the-art adventure parks in the Jirania area. The proposed parks will be developed under two distinct themes – Eco-Tourism Park and Nico Parkaimed at boosting recreational opportunities and promoting sustainable tourism in the region.

To facilitate the construction of these parks, the process of land acquisition is currently in progress. Necessary groundwork including surveys, assessments, and formalities is being conducted with active involvement from relevant government departments.

On Friday, a crucial meeting regarding this initiative was held in Jirania, chaired by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury. The meeting was attended by officials from the concerned departments, where detailed discussions were held regarding the scope, planning, and challenges related to the project.

Minister Chowdhury, who represents the Jirania constituency, stressed the importance of these upcoming parks in enhancing the state's tourism profile and providing new avenues for employment and local economic development. He directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process while ensuring transparency and fairness for all stakeholders involved.

The proposed Eco-Tourism Park is expected to focus on nature-based recreational activities, while the Nico Park will feature amusement rides and family-friendly entertainment, catering to a wide range of visitors.

This ambitious project aligns with the state government’s vision of transforming Tripura into a tourism-friendly destination and creating modern infrastructure to attract both domestic and international tourists.

If implemented successfully, the parks in Jirania could become a significant tourist attraction and set a benchmark for similar developments in other parts of the state.
