  On 31st July, under the National Oral Health Programme and National Health Mission (NHM), a state-level training camp for Medical Officers (Dental) and Community Health Officers (CHOs) was held at Pragya Bhavan in collaboration with AGMC and the Indian Dental Association. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event and addressed the participants, highlighting their vital role in delivering quality healthcare to the grassroots. He also flagged off two state-of-the-art Blood Transport Vans designated for Kailashahar and Bishalgarh hospitals, marking a significant step toward ensuring timely and safe blood supply across Tripura. As part of the event, the Chief Minister also planted a sapling, symbolising a commitment to a healthier and greener future.

Tripura Tea Industry Delegation Meets Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha

  Agartala, July 31: On 30th July, a delegation from the Tripura Tea Planters’ Association met Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha at his official residence in Agartala. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the various initiatives undertaken by the state government for the development of the tea industry. The Chief Minister also took note of the suggestions and concerns raised by the delegation for further advancement of the sector. Dr. Saha assured the delegates of continued government support in strengthening infrastructure, market linkages, and financial security for small tea growers. The representatives appreciated the government’s proactive role in promoting Tripura’s tea industry and expressed optimism about future growth.

Tripura Assembly Marks Historic July with Reflections and Tree Plantation Drive

  Agartala, July 22: “The Legislative Assembly is a sacred temple of democracy where laws are framed for the welfare of the people,” said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha while inaugurating the event “Historic July: Footsteps of Tripura Legislative Assembly” at the Assembly lobby. Reflecting on the significance of July, he highlighted that the Tripura Assembly was formed on 1st July 1963 and shifted from Ujjayanta Palace to the new complex on 22nd July 2011. Forward Club Clinches Shield Title in Style

  Agartala, 22 July: Forward Club emerged victorious as the champions of the Neeljyoti Rakhal Memorial Knockout Shield Football Tournament, defeating strong contenders Blood Mouth Club 2–0 in the final at Umakanta Mini Stadium. With a well-planned strategy, Forward Club netted two crucial goals—one in each half—while maintaining a solid defence that left Blood Mouth’s strikers goalless throughout the match. Senthamils opened the scoring in the 17th minute, while Siam Puiya doubled the lead in the 56th minute. Despite several attempts by both teams, no further goals were scored. The champions walked away with a handsome trophy and a prize of ₹60,000, while the runners-up received ₹40,000 and the runner-up trophy. In a post-match ceremony, Tripura Football Association expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participating teams, officials, staff, referees, sponsors, and media partners for ensuring the tournament’s success.

  On July 21, 2025, the School Education Department of Tripura organised a grand felicitation ceremony at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, Agartala, to honour schools that achieved 100% pass results in this year’s Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations conducted by TBSE and CBSE. Hundreds of STGT (Selection Test for Graduate Teachers) candidates gathered before the Chief Minister's residence in Agartala on Thursday, demanding the immediate release of their 2022 exam results.  The protesters, who had appeared for the exam nearly three years ago, expressed frustration over the government's delay in publishing the results and initiating the recruitment process. The candidates alleged that despite repeated appeals to the Chief Minister and other officials, their concerns have remained unaddressed. They are worried that a new STGT notification issued for 2025 might render many of them ineligible due to age restrictions. "We waited patiently for years. Now, a new STGT notification has been issued for 2025, but many of us have crossed the age limit. How is this fair?" questioned one protester. Tripura Takes Lead in Mediation Drive Reducing Court Backlogs through Alternative Dispute Resolution

Agartala, July 15: In a bid to reduce court case backlogs, the Tripura State Legal Services Authority has referred over 1,000 cases to nine mediation centres across the state. This initiative is part of a special 90-day mediation drive that began on July 1, 2025, under the joint efforts of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India. The cases being taken up for mediation include matrimonial disputes, Motor Vehicle Compensation claims, consumer complaints, business conflicts, eviction notices, inheritance matters, and debt recovery cases. Mediation, distinct from traditional court proceedings, involves trained mediators helping both parties negotiate and arrive at a mutually agreeable solution. Notably, Tripura has expanded its pool of mediators to include individuals from diverse backgrounds, including religious leaders, tribal chieftains, and professionals from various fields.
