Agartala, August 26: Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha today underlined the importance of skill development in every profession, especially in healthcare. Speaking at the 20th Foundation Day of Tripura Medical College (TMC) and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Teaching Hospital, he emphasized that doctors must continually enhance their knowledge, skill, and humanity to be true healers.
The CM also encouraged participants at a blood donation camp, praising donors for their noble contribution. He reminded the gathering that being a good doctor is not only about treatment but also about responsibility, empathy, and dedication.
Reflecting on his government’s seven years of work in the health sector, Dr. Saha said Tripura has witnessed significant improvements in hospital infrastructure, establishment of new medical colleges, and creation of specialist posts. “Our goal is to make advanced healthcare accessible to every citizen of the state,” he stated.
The day’s events not only celebrated TMC’s journey but also showcased the government’s determination to make Tripura a hub of skilled healthcare services.
