16th Finance Commission Convenes at Tripura Secretariat





A significant meeting of the 16th Finance Commission was held at the Tripura Secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha. The high-level gathering focused on critical aspects of the state's financial planning and economic development strategies.


The meeting brought together key stakeholders including Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Minister Santana Chakma, and Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, along with other cabinet members. Senior bureaucrats, including the Chief Secretary and Director of the Revenue Department, participated in the discussions, underlining the meeting's importance for Tripura's fiscal future.


The agenda covered crucial areas of financial governance:

- Fiscal management strategies

- Fund distribution frameworks
