Santana Chakma to Inaugurate SHE Skill and Entrepreneurship Centre at Women’s ITI

 



Smt. Santana Chakma, Hon’ble Minister for Industries & Commerce, will inaugurate the SHE Skill and Entrepreneurship Centre at Women’s ITI, Indranagar, Agartala. This initiative aims to empower women by providing specialised training in various skill-based trades and entrepreneurship development.

The centre will focus on equipping women with industry-relevant skills, enabling them to explore self-employment opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of the state. It aligns with the government’s vision of promoting women’s empowerment and self-reliance through skill development.

Officials from the Industries & Commerce Department, ITI faculty, and aspiring women entrepreneurs are expected to attend the inauguration. The centre will offer training in areas such as tailoring, handicrafts, and digital marketing, helping women enhance their employability.

Minister Santana Chakma emphasised that such initiatives will strengthen women’s participation in the workforce and encourage entrepreneurship in Tripura. The event marks a significant step towards gender-inclusive economic progress.
