Under the firm leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Tripura’s mission ‘Nesha Mukta Abhiyan’ (Addiction-Free Campaign) continues to achieve visible outcomes. In a significant development, officers and staff of East Agartala Police Station arrested an illegal alcohol seller from Madhya Dukli under Section 69 of the Tripura Excise Act.
A total of 110 bottles of foreign liquor were seized during the operation. Authorities have taken swift legal steps, and a prosecution report under Section 45 of the same Act is being submitted against the accused.
This operation stands as a strong example of the Tripura government’s zero-tolerance policy towards illicit trade and substance abuse. The Chief Minister’s consistent appeal for a society free of addiction is being implemented with coordinated efforts by law enforcement and local administration.
