Under the firm leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Tripura’s mission ‘Nesha Mukta Abhiyan’ (Addiction-Free Campaign) continues to achieve visible outcomes. In a significant development, officers and staff of East Agartala Police Station arrested an illegal alcohol seller from Madhya Dukli under Section 69 of the Tripura Excise Act.

A total of 110 bottles of foreign liquor were seized during the operation. Authorities have taken swift legal steps, and a prosecution report under Section 45 of the same Act is being submitted against the accused.

This operation stands as a strong example of the Tripura government’s zero-tolerance policy towards illicit trade and substance abuse. The Chief Minister’s consistent appeal for a society free of addiction is being implemented with coordinated efforts by law enforcement and local administration.

Locals have praised the ongoing drive, stating that such actions are essential to safeguarding the youth and upholding law and order. The state police, under the guidance of the CM and the Home Department, continue to work tirelessly to identify and uproot such illegal activities.

The administration’s commitment towards a cleaner, safer Tripura is winning public support across districts.
