Zero Tolerance in West District: Crackdown on Speeding, Drunk Driving, and Drug Transport

 



West Tripura, May 24 – With an aim to ensure road safety and law enforcement, West District authorities have initiated a special drive targeting overspeeding vehicles, drunk drivers, and the illegal movement of narcotics.

Multiple teams of traffic police and district enforcement units are conducting intensified checking drives at major junctions and highways. Violators are being penalised on the spot, and in cases involving narcotics, strict legal action is being pursued.

The administration has reiterated a “zero tolerance” stance on such violations and urged the public to cooperate.

“Our message is clear—follow the rules or face consequences. Road safety and public security cannot be compromised,” stated the District Magistrate.
