In a significant outreach ahead of Durga Puja, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha engaged in a cordial exchange with respected Pradhan Samajpatis, acknowledging their pivotal role in preserving cultural values and guiding communities.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister extended festive greetings and attentively listened to the Samajpatis’ valuable views on pressing socio-economic issues. He emphasized that their deep-rooted knowledge and practical wisdom serve as a guiding light in shaping policies for the welfare of Janajati communities.
Dr. Saha highlighted several initiatives already undertaken by the state government for the socio-economic development of Janajati brothers and sisters. These include schemes aimed at improving education, healthcare, livelihood generation, and infrastructure development in tribal-dominated areas. He stated that the feedback and suggestions offered by the Samajpatis further strengthen his determination to work confidently for the upliftment of the poorest sections of society.
The Chief Minister described the Janajati communities as an integral part of Tripura’s rich heritage and stressed the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive growth. He also noted that preserving cultural practices while promoting economic progress is essential to sustainable development.
The exchange concluded on a positive note, with the Chief Minister assuring that the government would continue to incorporate community-led insights into policy planning.
